I'veTurned Mean

OK.....week 38......a lot of stress, but I've never been this short tempered or mean.  I thought a couple of weeks ago I had turned into a witch, but nothing compared to the last two days.

I've never yelled at people in public, but this morning I about punched the lady in the bookstore in the face.  My bf had his first week of classes and we have to come up with about $600 for books and software.......another stress, but I didn't think it had hit me really hard until this morning.  He took the debit card with my name on it to the campus bookstore yesterday and they wouldn't accept it.  So, we went back this morning......waited for 25 minutes for someone to help us (and they were not busy) and then they told us they didn't have the computer program and they never did.  I immediately lost my temper.......I told the girl he had it yesterday, but they were tooo lazy to call and verify the card so he wasn't able to purchase it yesterday.  We made a special trip to get the darn thing this morning and now you are trying to me you don't have it!!!  (I'm surprised I didn't go into labor right then and there)........On of the employees came over and advised that they could order it, but we would have to pay first......I went in prepared to pay for what they had yesterday.

Then to the post office to purchase stamps......one person working the window.  They apparently brought her from the back to cover for someone.  When I got there, there were a few people in line.  By the time a left, there was a line down the block.  She was on her cell phone on a personal call.  It took her 25 minutes to sell 1 stamp to the lady in front of me.  I called the supervisor when I got to my car.  I could understand if she didn't know what she was doing and needed more training (rarely lose my patience for that), but to be on a personal call??  WTH???

Then to cap the morning, my bf was called into a teaching assistant meeting at 12:45pm that could potentially last for 3 hours and a half......I have my 38 week appointment at 4:15pm.  He said he would do his best, but this is what is supporting him/us and if he misses it he can't teach.

I feel like I want to bite someone's head off.......chew it up and spit it back into the hole in their neck.  And no one is safe.........

Thanks for listening, yet once again!

Not to bite your head off, but according to all your other posts you are short on money and worried about you finances for the future. Why are you buying your BF 600$ worth of books? Isn't he eligble for some sort of book grant, or used books? If not, can't his mom pitch in? You have to worry about yourself and the baby now.
Since your baby is almost here, you have to focus on yourself more, and not make all "his" problems your problems too.

He is an international student and not eligible for anything.  As for his family, he went to them for the money and they told him flat out no.  If he would agree to leave me and the baby, they would begin to help him again.

Since he is not a citizen, he is only allowed to work for the school for 20 per week......and can not accept other work.

I understand his problems aren't mine, but he is making an effort to be with us despite his family's disappointment.  He has also tried to move in to help the money situation, but he cannot get out of his lease (or sublet).  (My last post)

So, I don't know what the answer is........

Ok, personally I think the lease problem is BS. Either he is telling that to pacify you or his landlord is full of it.
Again, you are and have been making all these issues your problems. Have you verified all these working and eligibilty restrictions? They sound a little unreal. I hope you will put your baby before him when she comes. Good luck to you.

I have had a lot of friends that were international. They do have a lot of restrictions. It's been a while but what she said does sound like about how it was when I knew them. It's really strict. I know a friend that could get a campus job but only after the job had been posted for either one or two weeks to make sure a citizen didn't need it first.

Soory about the mood swings. I went home in May and was ready to beat the crap outta a woman cause I missed my flight and I let them know we needed to get to our flight FAST! You just have a few more weeks left. You can hang in there.

yea, I had those days too. Hubby was usually safe but slow cashiers and incompetent wait staff weren't! LOL  I totally lost it on a lady in the grocery store because she broke my eggs at the check out counter, she wasn't an employee just the lady infront of me in line. She told me that she'd be a while I could go get another dozen. I looked right at her, told her I was 1 week from my due date, I didn't break my eggs - she did and she could go get me another dozen. I was livid!! The cashier got a good laugh though!

hang in there! have they discussed inducing you because of the BP issues??

I believe I read in What to expect: Calm mom's = calm babies. You have to try to relax. There is a lot of stress involved with being pregnant as you know. All the daily stresses we add to it can't be good. However, you are the one that is in control of how you react to someone. Its hard but take a deep breathe and then remember that it isn't worth the stress to you or the baby and let it go. Everything I have seen about landlord/tenant law (even if Judge Judy says that if you break a lease you can lose your deposit and I believe they can charge you only until they rent your unit. This usually happens quickly. If the apartment building rents any another unit after he leaves, no one will make him pay the rest of the lease. Just a thought about something that was causing you some stress. Hope things work out.
