can I be healthy and baby be sick?

I posted this on another site too...

Thanks to my mother-in-law, I was exposed to bronchitis on Saturday, Tuesday and last night - closely.

Just wondering if anyone has any idea if I can be healthy and the baby be sick? I feel okay, but I'm worried sick that the baby could get sick. Is that even possible, or would I feel sick too.

Any thoughts/ideas are welcome!

I'd say you'd get sick, not the baby.  The baby gets things through the blood to you, but he's not breathing air yet...so I'd say he couldn't get bronchitis.

Make sure you thank your MIL.

No kidding.  A little thoughtless I'd say. I kept trying to keep a distance and hold my breath when I was near her. But she's one of those people that constantly cough in your face. Or she'd want to whisper something close to my face! GRR!!!
