First U/S

I had my appt today, 8 weeks 3 days preggo.

I was so anxious and scared...I was afraid of all the same things everyone else is afraid of.

They measured, I'm right on target...
Then they showed me the hearbeat!  I wanted to cry, it was beautiful to see that flutter!

Then they gave me some pics and said to come back in 4 weeks.

Here's the best part!!!    As I'm checking out, one of the nurses is behind the counter and spies my pics. She's all excited! Telling me, "look, here's the head, the orbital sockets, the arms, and legs!" She had goosebumps. Then I realized I could see them too!  I didn't realize what I was looking at until she pointed it out to me. I really started to cry then. It was so beautiful!!!
She came around the counter, gave me a BIG hug.

It has been a perfect day!!!!!!!

 AWwee Congrats!! I cannot wait to see my lil baby growing inside. I have to wait til Im 18 weeks along before I get an ultrasound. I am going to an appt today to hear the heartbeat tho and I am excited and going to record the heartbeat on my cell phone. I am scared also that I will get to dr's appt and will not get the chance to hear heartbeat.

With my first pregnancy, I actually had one of those small tape recorders and recorded everything the doctor said before and after and the heartbeat. It is great knowing I have those memories...I imagine you'll have an amazing memory of recording the hearbeat with your phone...and to be able to share that!!  Yay!

They said I should be able to hear the heartbeat at the next appt, so I am just as excited that each appt (for awhile) will have new things for me to experience!

Jessica, look I can't cry here at work so stop it it already ...LOL :) That was beautiful to hear. You go girl and I wish you many more moments like today. It's always a great heart felt moment to see baby for the first time growing inside your womb. Thanks so much for sharing :) You really made my day...and you made me cry with tears of joy for you :) Awesome story!

I am super excited to go home and show my son, he may only be 5 but I know he will be just as excited as I am. My hubby won't understand it one way or the other, all he cares about is that I'm healthy and safe and so is the baby  :-)

It's the most amazing feeling in the world!!! I still cry every time I see my baby on ultrasound. We are SO blessed. I will never take it for granted.
