Morning Sickness and my RNY guts

What can I do with my rerouting to help my morning sickness.  I am miserable and not able to function for a good part of the day from the nausea.

Nothing is appealing and nothing wants to stay down.

Help!

I had to take meds for it and also eat every 2 hours. I also had low blood sugar so had a few candies with me all the time I would ask the doctor for something to help if eating crackers and snacks more often does not work. Good luck!

sugar free altoids, warm gingerale and oyster crackers saved me. Also, as odd as it sounds keep something in your pouchie, eat a few oyster crackers or saltines every 30 minutes or so and it makes a world of difference!

protein, b vitamins, unisom 1/2 dose

pressure point wristbands  -- not sure the exact name - they are used for motion sickness

ginger tea - you need actual ginger to calm your stomach ... most soda does not have enough ginger to help

God Bless! Jen

I tried to tough it out, but then ended up in the ER with hyperemesis because I was throwing up 5 times a day.  They gave me a prescription for zofran for nausea and for me, it made a huge difference.  I also try to eat little meals often.

The wrist bands are called SeaBands.  You can get them at drug stores for around 10 dollars.  I got them and they worked for a day or 2 and then stopped.  But you may have better luck than me!

Good luck!  I feel for you!
