Utrasound postponed/pushed up

The OB decided that I was only 6 weeks today and since there would be no heartbeat yet, it is pointless to do the ultrasound and then make me worry for the next few weeks...UGH!!He looked over my chart and decided since the 1st pregnancy was thru fertility and I am now on progesterone suppositories and spotting a bit of brown the next morning, we should wait.  So now it isn't till a week from monday..the 23rd.  I guess the good things are I will be about 8 weeks so it will be more to see adn I figure if they thought there was something wrong, they would have done it soooner than postponing it.  Right?/  I need some reassurance!  thanks, Monica

I do not know what to say...spotting they say is normal for some women. I have not had any spotting however, I am 11 weeks pregnant and will not be having an ultrasound til im 18 weeks along. Be lucky that you are getting one sooner than that. I still yet to believe that I am pregnant besides the appts I go to and have not heard a heartbeat yet or  have seen the baby yet. I can understand how you are nervous and frustrated..believe me cause i am and wish my Ob would do one sooner but its normal for a low risk pregnancy not to have one done so early.

That makes me SO mad....we PAY for our insurance to ahve these things and we pay our copays....it should not be up to the doctoe how we use our insurance. I give you alot of credit for being so positive...I am a nervous nilly!! Good luck and keep me posted!
