Cycle cancelled but...
So I went for an ultrasound to check the number and size of follicles yesterday and to trigger ovulation. We decided to go ahead with the IUI based on the fact that it looked like I had 5 follicles a 22mm 20mm 19mm 17mm and 16mm with 5 under 15mm and 10 under 10mm. I was told to take my ovidrill and come back today for the IUI. Well this morning I get a call that the dr reviewed the tape and that I actually have 7 over 16, 5 13-16mm and 10 under 10mm so they cancelled me.
The shock comes when I realize that we have already triggered and had sex for the last 6 days in a row and there is a HUGE risk for multiple pregnancy. When we went in last Thursday I only had 2 follicles that were 13mm and 10 under 10mm so I don't know how I got to many in just 4 days.
I have prometrium but they said not to take it. I am worried that if I don't I may get pregnant and miscarry. I don't want high order multiples but will deal with whatever God gives us. We would love 1, 2 or 3.
What would you do? Would you take the prometrium or just go without?

This is just me but I would have KILLED for reaction like that to meds. lol lol I would do whatever I could on my own (well with hubby lol) to get pg even if they did cx IUI. I always wanted twins or trips though. God never gives you more than you can handle. Well that's what "He" tells us. We need to learn to believe it. lol lol Best of luck what ever you decide to do!

I wouldn't take the prometrium- you've already done well so far. there are no guarantees anyway, and it is a gamble, but if it happens naturally, it will happen. I had twins 2.5 months ago, and they are a lot of work, but such a blessing too. Your eggs may not all release anyway, as hormones when one releases tend to keep others from maturing more often than not. But, you have to do what you feel comfortable with. Since you are doing fertility treatments, you must need to for some reason, so take it and go for it.
