OMG please tell me it aint soo

Ok so I was  just reading that BC pills dont work for us after  WLS is this true can someone pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaase make me feel better !!! does anyone know I am on  th epill and my doc didnt  say anything about it  not being ok, omg I am only 3 weeks out and have had sex with my husband oh I so dont want a baby right now ugghggghhhghhghhhg lol helpppppppppp

it ddnt work for me i am 5months preggos, got preggos 4 months out of surgery

Personally, I think you need to have the dose upped to counter act the malabsorbtion. I plan on doing that when I start it again. Also for the first year to 18 months my surgeon tells us to use two forms of BC. He suggests the pill and condoms.

Sorry but my surgeon said that they weren't as effective after the surgery..  We had to promise to use a back up bitrh control method if we were taking the pill.  I decided to go with an IUD because I felt a little safer that way.

My Obgyn put me on the Nuvaring after surgery because she told me due to the malabsorption the pill is not as effective.  Ask your dr for Nuvaring..

Yup that is true unfortunately. Go pick up a pregnancy test and a large box of condoms! Good luck!

I had the Paragard IUD, no hormones, loved it and will be getting it again. Hormonal BC makes me a crazy person.
You may want to talk to someone about the morning after pill, depending on when this interlude happened?

yea UMM i am past the morning after .. ughhhhh and its  been more then one Interlude...lol  I am 3 1/2 weeks out  now i am scared  and mad , mad the docs office for not telling me I asked  this other  woman on my friends list I talk to  all the time and she said she didnt know that either  why  dont they tell us this !!!!!!!!!!!

WOW I am so flabergasted why wouldn't my doc or the nurse say anything????????????? Wow  They asked me what I was taking I said nothing excepty birth control pills  they said ok those are fine continue to take them OMG what if I come up pregnant now? OMG will my baby be ok ? will I be ok ? OMG I am so aggravated!!!! I just called and left a message for someone from there( surgeons office ) too call me back !! Wow is all I can say , My husband will flip out with worry !!!!! ugggghhhh

when I was fresh out I remember spotting some and figuring that my BC pills weren't working because of the malabsoption. i actually said something to my surgeon about it and he blew it off. Said I was fine. 7 months post op I was preggers with my son. I would suggest trying the nuva ring.
