I have been trying to find info on if it is even possible to be a surrogate after having WLS. Anyone have any information?

There is a lady named Sarah on the DS board who had surrogate twins last year. Her screen name is Ladynitewolf. I believe she had a very healthy pregnancy.

There is a gal that is a long time poster here, but hasn't been on since last month...that is a surrogate as well. So, definitely possible. I would think that your medical history would need to be disclosed if full and then it would be up to the person interested in having the surrogate. There are tons of women here that have gone through surgery in order to get healthy enough to get pregnant. Then there are several that had wls and went through fertility treatments to get pg. I would think that if you waited the recommended 12-18 months post op...then watched your vitamin levels closely...it shouldn't be an issue. Good luck. Shari
