Ovidrel Question..anxious to know..

I just went through my first round of treatment and when I talked to the nurse last week she told me that I could do pregnancy test after day 12 from Ovidrel injection.... that would be tomorrow.
I am so anxious, excited but at the same time I don't want to get my hopes up...

Yesterday I did feel very weird and nauseous in the a.m. for a little bit but it went away.  However, I do have great breast tenderness now for like 2-3 days (at least that I can remember).

I have bought the pregnancy test and the one that has the 3 tests....

According to the nurse..they didn't want any sooner than 12 days after the injection because the test could give me a false positive because the hormones elevate that one that is measured by preg test.

I would be so happy and so grateful to God for this miracle gift but I don't want to be thinking I could be if I am not...do you know what I mean? Am I making any sense?

Those of you who have used Ovidrel and had positive results...do you remember how long you waited to do pregnancy test?

For most people, it is out of your system in 12 days.  HOWEVER, some women metabolize it slower.  I have had cycles where it stayed in until 14 or 15 days after trigger/injection.

So, if you test and see a pretty strong line, you can most likely believe it.  But, if you get a really faint line, you won't truly know until the next day -- see if it gets darker.

I tested 10 days after the shot, and that showed a negative for me ...but I know everyone is different and it might linger in their systems longer.  Good luck!!!
