I am 3 years post-op RnY and 18 weeks pregnant with my first.  I have 2 friends that are very close to the same stage of pregnancy and they are showing.  Am I not showing because of my nasty, saggy skin that I never had cut off?  I am definitely bigger and clothes are very uncomfortable but I don't look pregnant AT ALL.  I've gained about 5 pounds and hate being around my friends with their obviously prengnat belly and I just look like I'm getting fat again.  Is this normal?  When will I iactually look pregnant?

Probably not the answer you want to hear, but depending on how you're carrying, your build and size/location of your uterus- you may not show until much later.

I have friends that start to show at 12 weeks and others that don't get a pregnant bump until they're 30+ weeks.

I am almost 24 wks & you can't tell that I am pregnant at all UNTIL I put on my maternity shaper (Spanx). Then, I have a beautiful baby bump because you can squish all those jiggly parts into a nice round belly. I don't really have a lot of extra skin (I weigh around 150 lbs), but it's enough to mask my baby bump. I never got 1 pregnancy comment until I started wearing my Spanx. Now, I get one every time I go out & my maternity clothes look sooo much better.

I just looked chubby until about 22 weeks.  It definitely took a while.  Also I actually lost weight at the beginning, so that probably had something to do with it.

I was/am the exact same way. I'm carrying very low though. My extra skin/flab is of course in the area below  my belly button too. I hate it. I feel like I'm just getting fat again. And I can't even suck it in!! Then I go online and look at all these pictures of women who are as far along as me and they have these nice round baby bumps.... I'm over 26 weeks and just yesterday someone said, you don't look pregnant!! Thanks a lot! I've gained about 14-16 pounds so far.

Best wishes! Don't sweat the small stuff, right!!??!!??

Thanks for the support and well wishes.  As sucky as these things are it is nice to find comfort that you aren't the only one.  If I'm not going to show I would love to not gain much weight either!  Are there any tips y'all have for that one?  I walk like crazy and TRY not to give into temptations but I am a pregnant woman with very little will power!

I barely look pregnant as well, and I am ~28 weeks. :P
I have a bump, but in general it seems that the baby/uterus have just filled space that existed already between my ribs and pelvis.  I've been told that my height (6'0") and larger build contribute to having more space in there. :P

I am 29 weeks and I didn't start showing until I was like 26. I thought I was just looking fat as well, but my husband tells me I am not and that its just a beautiful baby growing in my tummy. Just make sure to eat your protein first. I saw a Nutritionist right from the start and they put me on a meal type plan for Diebetic patients so I would get all that I needed and not dump. So far I have gain 15lbs and the baby is doing fine.

Do worry, remember you are a beautiful pregnant momma. If you ever want to talk just let me know.
