Need suggestions... Viral infection

Hey everyone. I need some advice, suggestions, or things that have worked for you and your child/ren. My daughter was taken to the after hours clinic on Monday night with 104.4 fever. They gave her Tylenol while there and her temp did come down while waiting on the doctor. They did a cbc panel on her because they couldn't find anything else wrong. Her white blood count was in the 400's, if I remember correctly, so the doctor said it was a viral infection. He said to give her Motrin for 24 hours and if the fever didn't stay down then try Tylenol. Here it is Wednesday and she still has a temp, but nothing as high as Monday night. Still taking Tylenol every 4 hours. She did get Motrin instead right before bed because I thought it would last longer through the night.

Now, I know with a viral infection it has to run its course, but is it normal for her to still have a temp 2 days later??? Is there anything else I can do for her to make her feel better and not be so puney?? I'm really open to suggestions, because I don't like seeing her like this.

Karine, I am so sorry your nugget isn't feeling well! I have no experience here, just wanted to encourage you to trust your mommy instinct & keep her hydrated, even if you have to do it with an eyedropper ... if you feel she's not improving, head to the nearest Urgent Care or ER. Mommy Instinct is amazingly powerful. In the meantime, keeping her in prayer! 

motrin works better then tylenol... yes its normal.. and fever is good.. means her little body is fighting whatever cooties have invaded her... baths for some reason always make my kids happy... plus it will help with the fever... ice cream is another thing..love on her and let her be puney..
