We are hernia free!
First thank you everyone for your prayers. Secondly, today went off without a hitch. We were very first to hit the table this morning and only an hour and 15 mins later, she was heading to recovery. I am so very thankful we found this issue. Today when they operated, her ovary was through the hole. The positive part was the hernia hole was so large it wasn't cutting off blood supply to the ovary, so he saw no damage to her ovary. She also as he expected had one on the other side as well. This too was repaired and it wasn't near as big as the other hole. She did have to have some additional muscle repair done due to the hernia pulling on the uterus muscles but all in all they feel she will make a full recovery and not have the pain she was going through. Coming out of surgery she was a little fussy but once we left the hospital she slept the 30 min ride home and then for another couple hours. I did give her tylenol when she woke up, once it kicked in you would have never know she had surgery she was smiling and talking like no big deal.
I hope everyone had a great day like we did! Blessings~~ Stacey

Had you and your dtr in my thoughts- so glad everything went well and that they expect her to be A++! Its scary as a parent to have your child go through any medical issues- My dtr spend over night in the hospital on mother's day to prepare for surgery the day after. I felt so blessed to have her in my arms safe and sound. I am very thankful for my children's health and try to never take it for granted. Give her some extra hugs.
