Mommies of older babies, talk to me about car seats...

what do you have? Matty has finally gotten to a point where he needs to be out of his bucket and into a big boy seat.

I am leaning towards the Britax Marathon 65, but then I start thinking I would like the Radian (it's just SO much more money, and I won't really need the 40 lbs rear facing weight since my kids run on the small side).

Oh, the things we worry about LOL Tell me about your seat, what do you love about it or hate about it! Thanks.

We are getting the Britax Marathon Platinum. My sister has it. I have used it when I baby sit my nephew. It's so easy to install and it is SO strudy. I love the clamps that keep the seat belt tight so it doesn't move around at all!!

Just had to butt in here and say that Britax made a new & improved Marathon model that should be in stores soon. Target has last years model for $199.00.

We have a Marathon and a Regent.  My 83rd percentile-for-height almost five-year-old is still comfy in her Marathon and has one more set of strap holes until she outgrows it.  The Regent is great once you go forward facing, but it's a god-awful tank and heavy, and is more of a pain to install than a Marathon.  I'm glad I have it, though, because my daughter sits tall and I want to keep her harnessed as long as possible.  Also, it has side-impact protection.

Marathon is very easy to install and adjust.  I don't know anything about Radians.

Thanks for all the info! I think I am pretty much sold on the Marathon! My kids run on the pretty small side (My biggest almost 8 year old is still only 57lbs!), and I think we will probably hit the experation date on the seat before we do the weight limit! LOL

Hi there!
We have the Britax Boulevard (took me a while to talk DH into it, but I had a 20% coupon at BRU, and I can send you one, too, if you need it!) and I LOVE this model. So easy to install, like a PP said, the straps make it so sturdy, and for a taller kiddo, it's great! The upholstry is easy to clean, too.

Thanks for the offer for the coupon, but I found the seat on sale on Amazon for $199 and I have $50 in gift cards that I got from using Swagbucks, so it's a pretty good deal! I love the print on that one, and I am pretty much sold on the Britax after all the rave reviews here, thanks for your input!

We have the Britax Boulevard as well and it sooooooooo comfortable Tyler instantly falls asleep in it everytime. I like all of the Britax lines, so you can't go wrong with anything from Britax. I love the side impact flappy things that stick out, as it makes me feel secure and I hate that it's bulky, but almost every big boy seat is.
