So Worried

I am on progesterone suppositories - 100 mg 2x a day, everything seemed to be going well.  Sunday morning I woke up to use the loo and I had this brown  (tmi) discharge mixed with the progesterone.  No pink or red. I am still getting the odd bit of brown here and there.  A little more info, Sat night I had an Orgasam (no penetration of any sort, just some petting), So I am wondering if this could be related?  I have told DH I want nothing to do with sex as I am terrified of losing this one too.  I am still poas and my tests are darker than last week and my digi finally progressed to say 2-3 weeks (clearblue with conception indicator) I was down last week because it never had increased like I suspected it too.  I am just so frustrated.  The Dr doesn't want to see me until next week and then I go for a viability U/S when I reach 8 weeks.  I get the odd cramps here and there, I have a drink then just rest, and everything goes away in under 5 min.  Am I just being parinoid?  I am still taking my vitamins, metformin (1500 mg a day), and of course the progesterone supps. I appreciate all the advice you ladies have to offer.  Sorry for rambling on.

The progesterone does cause excessive discharge sometimes. I was told that any brown (not/pink or red) is a sign of old blood and could be from a previous sexual act or even a previous period)

Hope everything goes well for you. I wouldn't restrict hubby so soon, trust me, the docs will tell you very quickly if you need to lay off and I had a lot of down time during my pregnancy because I had a lot of bleeding during my second month. Try to relax though I know its hard and think only thoughts of that lovely baby smell you will have in just under 9 mos. No negativity do you need to focus on right now...

Keep us posted.

I totally understand.  I haven't even let my husband wave his junk in my general direction, I'm so paranoid.  LOL!  I don't think it would even be enjoyable for me because I'd be so damn worried the whole time.  There are always alternate methods that are safe, if you catch my drift! ;)

Thanks for the reassurance ladies.  After the 2 previous mc's I am a wreck, but I still only have brown ick coming out and it is not a lot.  I find the most of it is in the morning first pee after putting the progesterone suppository in at bedtime, but as those who have used it, it is icky on its own. Other than that I just get the odd bit of brown when I wipe after peeing.  And I mean just a bit, I have had this pad on for most of the day and nothing new since just after the suppository , uh lets say, melted, and what dribbles out.   TMI  I know. I am crossing everything as well.  Praying for a super glued soybean (conceived using soy isoflavones) at least until March.

Thanks again LUV you Gals

From what I understand the suppository can irritate the cervix and cause the brown discharge. I am keeping everything crossed for you too Sherry. Are you going to a RE ? I wish they would just give you an early ultrasound so you don't have to wait two more weeks.

No I am not seeing an RE.  I do have an appointment with the OB next Monday, but going to call tomorrow and try to get that changed to this Friday due to a previous schedule conflict on Monday.  When I talked to him 2 weeks ago, he told me that he would see me when I was 6 weeks and he would like to do the U/S between 7 and 8 weeks along.  So I am getting there.  I woun't find out the results of the U/S for 2-3 days after having it done.  Here in Ontario Canada they don't tell you nothing unless it is your 12 week and your 20ish week U/S and only those 2 any other U/S you get the results from your DR.  I don't know of any clinics where you pay for it yourself other than the 3d ones and I don't have that kinda cash flow right now.

Hi Sherry-Lynn!
Just wanted to let you know that I too had the same stuff happen and it was SO unnerving. I had been seeing an RE so I asked him- he said it was perfectly normal and that 20% of pregnancies do this. Then just because I am a paranoid nut I asked my other two OB's (long story as to why I had two) and both of them said the same thing.....perfectly normal. I guess sometimes our uterus can get a little crabby from implantation- even weeks later. I am now about 16 weeks and into my second trimester and the baby is growing like crazy. Good luc****ep us posted about the sono! I can't imagine waiting 8 weeks...I'd have been going crazy.
