I'm 12w4d...had a hypoglycemia attack today and was wondering if this sugar drop could have an adverse affect on the baby.

I certainly intend to bring this up at my next OB visit.

any vast flux in blood sugars can affect the baby, that being said it would take a lot of episodes to do real harm. Try eating something every 1 1/2  - 2 hours and see if that helps. Also try to balance all your carbs with protein.,

Good luck! I know it's scary stuff

I am prone to them too. Since a few days after surgery I started getting them. I eat every 2 hours. I have to just to keep them at bay, and now if I don't eat every 2 hours I get them really bad. I cannot skip eating, I cannot do caffiene (makes them worse), and the best thing to help them is sugar or carbs. Sometimes I sip on sweet tea just to help with the shakes. I get them really bad. I try to eat a lot of carbs & protein together, but it doesn't always work. I got a bad attack once after eating a grilled chicken salad.
