miscarriage
So sorry about this. Hopefully you will be able to make it to a safe time to deliver.
If not (yeah, I don't want to think about that BUT...), just want to tell you I have a friend with an incompetant cervix. She loss her first at 24 weeks and then went on to have two boys. There is hope, and you know you can get pregnant. Yeah, not much help while this is happening. Later it might. it did for me.
*hugs*

Christina and Kevin,
I feel like such a jerk for replying to your previous post like it was a "normal" part of pregnancy. I guess you never know. I'm so sorry for all you guys have been through. Life seems so unfair sometimes.
I'll pray for you to have strength to get through whatever HE decides is best. I can't imagine how you are feeling right now.
Best wishes,
Kina

Well, its been a rough couple days.
I went to the ER on Saturday because of the loss of a HUGE water balloon and then lots of bleeding. So the ER doc who has NO bedside manner tells us horrible things, and later we find out were mostly wrong. But regardless...I was admitted to the hospital, then things got really interesting... and not in a good way
I had a few ultrasounds done and the heartbeat was 165bpm, a good strong heart beat. Was told that I had lost my fluid. Almost every bit of it. I had about 1cm left. normal is about 10... I had a tear in my bag and it was protruding through my cervix which had already dialated to 3cm.
I was given some options and we decided to induce, in the hopes of having a live birth. I seen the MFM and was told that I have one of two problems probably, either an incompetant cervix OR a uterine infection. Also, on a cute note, the baby was trying to walk out, the feet were in the cervix, kicking about. LOL. A fighter I tell ya!!
I did suffer a placental abruption. I lost huge amounts of blood in the ER with massive clots and then again 36 hours later.
After the induction started it took about an hour to an 1.5 hours to get it going then it got really intense. I was breathing through it all and rocking side to side helping the contractions pass. I was dialated to 6cm and I had to urge and we went with it and it was done...
Conner Ryan King was born at 9:05pm on 8-2-2010. He weighed 3.2oz and is 6 1/4" long. It is noted in many books that a 21 week old fetus measures 7". Conner was 16 weeks. He is a long boy :)
After the birth I had to cramp and try to pass the placenta and I couldn't so my dr, who I swear has lumberjack hands, reaches up to assist and couldn't. I had to have a curretage. (the C of a D&C). After the surgery I had lost so much blood I had to have a transfusion. During the birth and after my hands were numb, they said it was loss of blood. I knew it wasn't good. My husband just lost his newborn son and now he could lose me, due to the abruption
I received 2 units of blood and felt better in the am, the RN I had, Theresa, basically camped at my bedside all night. She was amazing...
I am proud to be Conners momma, whether he is here or not, He is still my sweet boy... and I miss him horribly...
