miscarriage

i recently posted a question about mucus discharge. Well, the next day I lost my sac and started dialating, was a 3cm, 70% effaced +1 station. So, the bag had a tear in it and lost most the fluid. baby has about 1cm of fluid right now. heart is still beating, 165bpm roughly.

lost a huge amount of blood yesterday in the ER too, but that has stopped so far.

So my mucus discharge wasn't a normal amount, my cervix was already opening, they think its incompetant.

Wanted to explain.... will stay on the boards, tho i don't post much...

I was a home and was passing mucus, then yesterday I went potty and seen this HUGE water balloon thing come out and plop in the potty, so i wiped & started bleeding  really  really bad. so went to the er they did an ultrasound, then had a pelvic and the dr was a complete jerk, rude and all. they admitted me to the hospital until its over. I am here til then, giving me nubain for pain when needed, but they said I will have bad cramps and they haven't started yet, a few here and there but nothing consistant. hoping to see the MFM tomorrow, dr here said she wants me to see him to see if there is anything that can happen...which there probably wont be, we are ok with that now, but still just hurt...

just empty feeling, defeated and crushed, we had been ttc for 13 years... now we are questioning ourselves, of course...

thanks for your concern

I am so sorry!!! At least they are calling on a MFM doctor to see if there is anything that can be done.

I am not going to say I understand what you are going through as we all have our own feelings. I can can understand the feeling defeated. We tried for 10 years and lost three babies.

Sending comforting prayers and thoughts your way!

Wow! I am so sorry you're going through this!! I never thought by your post that it would lead to this. I mean, it's normal to lose your plug in the late third trimester, but I never would have thought it at 16 weeks. I am so so sorry. I'll keep you and your family in my prayers.

Ooh sorry you have to experience this. I have had 2 miscarriages in the past myself way before I had the surgery though. I am soo shocked tho that this is happening at 16 weeks along. I mean I know MC can happen at anytime during a pregnancy even a stillbirth at 9 months. My prayers are with you and your family.

I hope that this will give you some optimism....my friend was 16 weeks pregnant and her water broke. She went to the ER where they confirmed that she had indeed broken her water. The baby had little to no fluid but still had a heartbeat. They told her that the baby would not make it and kept incouraging her to terminate. Every week when she went in to be checkek they would say you know you have till 24 weeks to terminate. They did detailed ultrasounds 2 times a week but due to having no fluid they never really got good images of the baby and its developement. Their concern was the developement of the lungs because the baby uses the fluid for practice breathing. Still determined not to give up she fought. She was on bed rest in and out of the hospital, worried about her husband and other kids at home and at 29 weeks she had her miracle baby. He is still in the NICU and is almost 8 weeks old. As of yesterday he was up to 5 pounds 4 ounces. So dont give up, follow whats in your heart and believe that miracles do happen. :)

I am so sorry. This is really very sad. I hope there is something that the MFM can tell you so you know what is going on. Sending you prayers for a miracle.
