Kenzie's Birth & Pics
Well, as Kim said (thanks for updating Kim!), Kenzie Paige came Monday July 26th at 5:51pm. She was 6lbs. 3oz. and 17.9 inches long. She has lost down to 5lbs. 11oz. as of her Dr visit today, but she's doing good!
I had milk VERY early and a great flow and still do. She'll be back up to her birth weight in no time. She is so small to me...maybe because she's been the smallest of our 5 kids. Heck, you forget how small 8lbs is and then to have a 6 pounder.
She has some jaundice, but nothing some time in the indirect sunlight and nursing won't cure. I was initially ok after my c-section, but the morning after was . Pain was bad! I was basically taking something for pain every 3 hours, but I went home on one pain med and it's basically doing it's job. It was my 5th c-section but every one is different...so you never can really know what to expect. I'm tolerating it well for the most part.
As for our Princess...we couldn't be more proud. She is 100% healthy!!! That was our biggest worry. She's definitely a mix between our daughter and our 4 year old boy. They all looked VERY similar at birth and they are all 3 my blondies. The big ones just love her. They want to hold her all the time and they are finally glad she is here and safe.
Now for pics...if they don't show up, they are on my profile too! Thanks for all your well wishes. Our family is truly blessed with Kenzie!

So glad to hear that both u and baby girl are doing great! We were in the same boat, small babies. My girl was 6lb 2oz and 18inches long, lost down to 5lbs 14oz when we left hospital. She also had a minor case of jaundice and its just about cleared up now. She was 2 weeks old yesterday, is nursing like a champ and has gained back what she lost PLUS about a pound and half =)
Congrats and good luck !
She is too cute, love those cheeks!

Thanks Blanca! Gosh, we had almost identical babies! LOL We're just really pleased that she's so darn healthy! And my flow is GREAT! Better than when I was a pre-op with no nutrition issues. I'm so thankful about that because I WAS worried initially about being able to BF her. But all is well.....if I could just get rid of this scab she put on me in the early days. She wouldn't (and still really doesn't) open her mouth wide enough and her suck was too shallow on my breasts and then I got that darned scab....well a couple. The Lansinoh is helping.....SLOWLY. Wish I knew of something else that would heal it up better. I can't exactly stop breastfeeding out of that breast until it heals so it kind of gets irritated everytime she sucks on that one so I don't know how it will ever go away! lol But, a minor problem in the scheme of things. I just hope I don't get mastitis! The other 2 babies I breastfed I got horrid mastitis.....like fever over 105 for DAYS! Very bad....don't want it again...evil...lol
And sounds like your little girl is doing great! I hope Kenzie is putting back on the weight she lost. Guess I'll know in about another week or so. I think I have to take her for a 2 week check up. I hope she's gaining!
