I am doing good...still healing "down there" lol but I'm off pain meds finally =)
my baby girl is doing great, she is just getting over a bit of jaundice and is much more alert now, she was sleeping sooo much up until a few days ago.
I'm feeling extra blessed when it comes to breast feeding, Ive been feeding her every 1-3 hours since about 30 minutes after her birth w/out any problems ( i was so worried about this) ! shes gained back the 4 oz she lost while in the hospital + 1 1/2 lbs since being home =)
She only wakes up 2x at night to feed and be changed...lol can you tell I'm bragging?! The pregnancy was a rough one and I'm just glad to have things go so smoothly now, but i better stop bragging before i jinx myself lol!
On a not so bright note, i have been dealing with some sadness brought on by the fact that we think Bella may be deaf in her left ear.
She failed her hearing test 3x in the hospital and at a follow up we had on Tuesday =(
We knew that this could be a possibility before her birth because her daddy is deaf in his right ear and the deafness is due to a syndrome he has called waardenburg's, we were told she had a 50% chance of being born with the syndrome and that deafness could be an issue if she did in fact inherit it.
I had to do my best to hold it together at the last test because my hubby was there and i didn't want him to feel bad or to blame himself for this, and at this point i am very happy that she has "excellent" hearing in her right ear! We are going to an audiologist next to try and determine the extent of the deafness and if there is anything that can be done to help with it, we are praying for the best and would greatly appreciate the prayers of others =)
Aside from all that, i am absolutely loving being a mommy, its something i thought i would never be and now i cant imagine NOT being one!!
I'm so glad to have ALL of the ladies on here to walk with us through the whole journey! I hope and pray that you and YOUR baby girl are doing amazingly well!! Thanks for checking in with me, it brought a smile to my face

Im tickled breast feeding is going so well for you!! We are having some issues with me....she just doesnt fill up on it, I guess I just dont make enough! Doesnt mean I dont try my darn'd-est!! I just got a Medela PIS and am using it every two hours to try to increase my supply....
I have been having HORRIBLE migraines...from what I am told they ARENT linked to my spinal/epidural but caused by my massive hormone changes....first from losing all my weight, followed by another change in me getting pregnant, and another post-partum. We shall see....
As for your LO and her hearing...dont let that get you down. Claudia failed her test on the left side twice before we left the hospital. The nurses said that 90% of babies fail these until about a month out or so cause of all the gunk inside their ears. With that being said, DONT LOSE FAITH!! It may just need a REALLY good cleaning! :)
Claudia is offically 4 weeks old, and I cant believe shes growing up so fast. We had a practice photo shoot today - I use a photographer that is a friend of mine to do our photos, but shes been busy so since we had a coupon to JC Penny's we went there. Here are a few shots...
