mucus discharge, maybe TMI

TMI for some of you, so if you can't handle it, leave the post :)

Well, I am now 16 weeks along and I noticed that if I walk to much, stand too long or have sex the next day I have a heavy thick mucus discharge. Now, I mentioned this to the OB and he said its normal, but the amount I am having makes me question what is normal. The only issue I have now is that I was lazy as a dog yesterday and today its REALLY prominent, every time I use the potty.

So... What gives? Any thoughts? its not an off color and it has no odor, just really thick and a lot of it, so much so that when I wipe I have to wipe 2 or 3 times to get all of it off... Confusing me and I have my next OB appt on Monday and can ask then, but am just curious now...

When you're pregnant, your cervix produces lots of mucus, more for some women than others. As long as it's clear or milky and odorless there shouldn't be a problem. If you notice pain, or blood in the mucus you need to call your OB asap. When you're in your late 3rd trimester, you might notice the same thing closer to your due date, which might be you losing your mucous plug, and if it includes blood, it's probably your bloodly show. But as for right now, at 16 weeks, I don't think you should be worried.

I had something like that too. Still do. I'd be walking along and all of a sudden it felt like I peed in my pants a little. Sounds just like yours. Gross, but I think it's normal.

This is my first (and last) pregnancy. I'm 37 years old...I never knew my body was capable of so many strange things!!
