Question for those of you who have been on treatment

Once you have taken the trigger injection Ovidrel and Dr tells you to have relations those 3 days... how many times should you try to have it a day? Just curious... I didn't ask my dr when I was at my visit.... I had information overload when we went to the results of our tests.

Does the number of times increases the changes of getting pregnant? I know it sounds silly...but I really want to know..

If your partner doesn't have any sperm count issues, once a day is optimal during the fertile period and after you trigger.  But, if he has count issues, every 48 hours is better.

I just went to your posting.. no I didn't go to IUI...

when I went to the ultrasound they did see 2 follicles (which was what the Dr was trying to do) to give us more chances..

no, Thank God..he doesn't have any fertility issues.. is just me.. do you think that doing it more than once a day is not a good idea.  Hubby thinks if we do it more than once a day, could be more chances.

Sorry...I am new to all these terms.. lol

An IUI is an Intrauterine Insemination -- where they wash the sperm and then place them inside your uterus/tubes via a catheter.

As for doing it more than once a day -- that is up to you.  It may be fine.  For each man, there is kind of a law of diminishing returns.  The closer together, the less and less sperm, usually.  They say it takes 24 - 36 hours to completely replenish.

My RE said that once every 24 hours was what he wanted so that there was great sperm and some mature swimmers neither one of us had issues - unexplained infertility!
