I was wondering how much weight you gained during pregnancy? My OB wants me to try and only gain 15lbs that is what she told me today. Has anyone ever was given a weight to stick to and came out just gaining that or more? She told me most women end up gaining a lot of weight after they had WLS more than they should. I am going to see their nutritionist at the next appt.

Hi MM!

Did you gain the 55lbs during a pre-op or post-op pregnancy?

How are you feeling?  I didn't know that you were going through so much.

Best,
Leila

I have gained 40 lbs with all 3 of my pregnancies. After my first I lost all my baby weight plus 30 more lbs ( lowest I have been since WLS), after my 2nd lost 25 lbs but got pregnant when she was 4 months old - right now I have 45 lbs to lose to get back down to where I was before I got preggo with #2!

I actually lost 3 lbs, but my doctor wasn't concerned.  I wish I had gained more though, but she was a healthy girl at delivery last week.

I'm 7 months pregnant and I'm still in the negative range for weight. I've lost a total of 15 lbs since becoming pregnant, and intentionally gained 8 of those back.

I lost 13 pounds from first becoming pregnant until about 6 weeks along, since then I am 15.5 days pregnant and I have gained back 9 of those pounds lost. I had really bad nausea and dizziness plus I was only 7 months post op when I got pregnant. I saw my OB yesterday for my monthly appointment and was told that she would like me to gain about 25-35 pounds max. I was 182 pounds when I first got pregnant and then lost the 13 pounds like I said so I had gone down to 169 pounds. Now I am 178 pounds with the 9 pound gain thus far. I am really faerful of going over 199 pounds again. I mean I am sure if I weighed 201 pounds the day I give birth it's not going to hurt anything and it's just all in my head. I just worked so hard to get to onederland and I don't wanna go back again I guess. I'm hoping to gain no more than 20 more pounds by full term. Just gonna eat healthy and do some walking every night to keep baby and myself healthy.

Yeah I hear that so far I have not gained or lost anything. I have been same weight since finding out. I was 197 at my nurse assessment visit and was still 197 yesterday at the second visit. I am almost 10 weeks pregnant. Which is fine with me if I can stay maintaining my weight for awhile then I will be fine. I know I am going to get back up over 200lbs...which is okay with me. I will work really hard after and get my weight back down. If I just gain the 15lbs then I get back up to 212..which Im fine with but however sometimes you cannot control what you gain during pregnancy even if you eat healthy. Your body will gain what it wants regardless is what I was told anyways.
