I am trying to eat like I should, but I feel like I am force feeding myself! I am not hungry, and when i take a bite, I am full within 1 or 2 bites, and feel like throwing up. So i keep trying to just take a bite her and there, but My husband keeps picking on me using my favorite line, "anything over 15 minutes is grazing". How am I supposed to feed myself when I feel like this? I am still having issues with my blood glucose levels dropping when I do not eat every 2 hours as well, but not being able to eat is just about to do me in! Is this nibbling thing OK at all?

I grazed, and like you I felt like I was force feeding myself too. My hunger came in waves though. For a while I would be able to eat "normally" and then I would be back to barely eating anything at all again.

I just tried to get as much in as possible throughout the day but didn't focus on calories or amount. For me I found doing a progressive staged diet throughout the day helped me as well.

What I mean is I would start the day off on a "liquid" diet with a protein shake slowly drunk. Then I'd move onto a cup of yogurt and then some soup, usually with soft noodles and veggies. If I could keep most of that down or do okay with that then I could usually move onto more solid foods for dinner with veggies and proteins. That was the ONLY way I survived the first half of my pregnancy.

THe short answer, yes. I felt like I ate constantly at the beginning but it is the only way that I could get in all the food that I needed. Unfortanately most of the WLS rules go out the window while you are pregnant. Most of the pregnancy I was like that - towards the end of the 2nd trimester I felt like a bottomless pit for a while but then went back to eating 3-4 bitesand I was done. I found that the "slider" foods were my best bet (yogurt, ricotta cheese, soups, protein shakes etc)

Good luck!

Like the previous posters said, slider foods have been a blessing for me.  I have not felt like eating at all, but I know that I have to because I don't want to have health issues (for me or the baby.)  I feel HORRIBLE when I don't eat.  Almost like I have a hangover... nausea & headache.

I start out with softer foods in the morning:  Yogurt, fresh fruit & cottage cheese, scrambled egg.  For lunch, maybe a couple of crackers with some chicken salad, refried beans, soup.  For dinner, whatever I can stomach.  I usually cook for my husband, and sometimes I can tolerate it, and sometimes I can't.  If I can't, I end up eating a slice of cheee, an egg, yogurt, or just SOMEthing so my stomach isn't empty.
