First OB appt done :)

Well, I went to my first OB appointment and was rather dissapointed when they really gave me no answers. The only answer I did get is I'm in fact pregnant!!! And I need to believe it now LOL

I'm scheduled in 2 weeks for an Ultrasound. The Nurse Practicioner talked to me at the appointment and tried to find a heartbeat, but there wasn't one to be heard, so she said I'm not far enough along for that just yet, but the Ultrasound in 2 weeks will help get me an estimated due date!

Well, thats all there is for now!

Same thing happened at mine.  All they had me do was pee in a cup and sent me to get a blood lab.  They confirmed the pregnancy and that was that.  I had to wait FOUR weeks before I had an ultrasound and it seemed like an eternity!!!  I never have heard the heartbeat yet, but when I had my ultrasound at 10w5d, I sure saw it!  The baby was kicking around like crazy in there.  For me, it just didn't seem "real" until I saw that little bean on the monitor.  Then it was like, "Whoa!  There really IS something in there!"

Before you know it you will feel the little one moving all over!! And your belly will look like a scene out of the move Alien!!! It's so crazy to see!!

I think I'm in the same boat...once I get the ultrasound done I'm sure to be a waterfall and emotional mess.  I've waited for so long for this day and I have yet to shed tears, but I've just been scared someone was going to tell me it wasn't true!

I hope these next 2 weeks go by fast cus the last 2 were agonizing!! LOL

I found the first ob appointment a bit disappointing as well. You are so excited and this is so new.. but they see it everyday.
Congrats anyway, and two weeks isn't so far away!

Congrats!!!! My dr is on Vacation, and before I found out I was pregnant I was in the process of getting an OBGYN... so they better find one asap!  I know I'll be in the same boat when I get the pregnancy verified at the sexual health clinic.... but at least a medical professional telling me will make me believe!  But I think I'll need to see it too.  Good luck with everything- 2 weeks will seem slow, but its not too bad!
