took 3 tests, and now my dr's on vacation!
URGH!!!! Why when I need it most my doctor is on vacation?! I've been calling his office ALL day and no one is answering! It's so frustrating! I took 3 tests- all positive! So I need to get in and see my dr. I don't know how it works in Canada- I don't have an official OBGYN yet, because I haven't been in the country very long, and we were just trying to set that up. I've never had a baby, or been pregnant, and I'm scared, and excited, and my mind is just going a million different directtions. To make matters worst... its terrible timing, becuase I feel like I can't COMPLETELY be excited because my sister JUST lost her baby 3 months in. So I can't be completely excited, and I don't want to count my chickens before they hatch! So It's just inconvient and nerve wracking to sit and wait for the dr to get back from vacation. I feel like every minute is an hour, and who knows how long he'll be away for!!!!! Is there anything I can do in the meantime to keep myself from going crazy, and to ease my fears/worries?
Congratulations! Sorry, I don't know how it works in Canada either, but most the time here they don't usually see you until you are about six weeks or sometimes eight. I know it's hard to not be nervous. I have had 2 miscarriages and even now with this pregnancy I am worried about something being wrong and I am being induced tonight. I totally undersand about being nervous. Try to enjoy it. And again CONGRATS!!!

This is my first too. My doctor wouldn't see me until 7 weeks along.
If you're just curious about if you're really pregnant or not, I'd say you are. False positives are very rare. False negatives are more common. I'd go to a local health department or something like that, whatever you have there just for confirmation if you need it.
Otherwise, take some prenatal vitamins and eat good carbs and protein until you can talk to your doctor.
Relax...everything will work out!

ok thank you! I've been looking at estimated due date calculators, and according to my last period i could be anywhere from 2 days to 6 weeks pregnant, so i'm really anxious to find out and get in to see someone... but yeah, i will be going to the health clinic tomorrow to confirm with a medical professional. Thanks so much! I've been taking prenatal vitamins for some time now, so i will continue that and eat healthy until i get more info!
All you have to do is call your GP to make an appointment and more than likely he will send a referral for an OB/GYN, but will follow you for the first 16-25 weeks. There really is nothing to do at this point. My doctor only confirmed it with another urine dip test and then because I didn't know when I got pregnant, I got a referral for an ultrasound for dating purposes as well.
