RNY'ers..post op PG stories!
I had surgery in April of '09 and got pregnant in Dec. of '09. I had the 'ok' from my surgeon due to my age (41 yo at the time). My pregnancy has been absolutely picture perfect and I'm looking forward to delivering a happy, healthy baby in just a little over 5 weeks.
My husband and I have been married for 16 1/2 years and for most of those years have struggled with IF due to PCOS. You'll NEVER regret your decision to have surgery! It's the best thing I've ever done. Not only are we looking forward to this blessing, I'm a much happier, healthier momma to our 5 1/2 year old son.
For me, the decision was not made based on us being able to have another baby although I was hopeful. I knew that if I didn't have the surgery that I just wasn't going to live very long to be there for my son. At 41 years old, I can't stand the thoughts of losing my parents. I surely didn't want to leave a grieving son when I had the ability to change that!
