Pain in the....
I am 19 weeks, and in my first trimester I had the weirdest pregnancy symptom. No one had ever heard of it. I had the most painful crotch ever. Sorry if TMI, but it was awful. Sometimes I could hardly walk. My OB said it was just because I was pregnant, hormones etc....
Anyway, it eased up alot at then end of the first trimester, but its starting to come back in the last couple of weeks. Not too bad... just uncomfortable. Again I asked the doctor and he said I will be experiencing all kinds of pressure and stretching and pains over the next few months.
Anyway, has anybody else experienced this? Any ideas on how to get more comfortable?

Okay- I'm going to put this out there...I was feeling the same type of being uncomfortable...and so I figured my god there has to be a reason beside the stretching, blah blah stuff. My Dr's don't really 'explore there' only in the beginning and in the end if needed...otherwise its belly measurements and listening to the HR. SO- I look down there...and There are the worse varicose veins I have ever seen in my life in girl town. HELLO? No wonder...so I am shocked, panic ed even...but I tried to remain calm and read up...apparently it happens (well duh cause I could see that!)...so I said to my Dr- um that uncomfortable feeling- its veins...they tell me yep- it happens..to wear supportive panties. OKAY- good luck with that...cause I hate loose panties and only wear ones that are close to the body...So basically you need support hose for girl town...by the end I could count on that pain being the worse thing I had to deal with- I literally was in bed every evening possible with my legs up to get the pressure off of them. So that's the long story to say- um you may want to see if THAT'S the issue- be prepared- I swear I almost died at the sight- the swelling was unbelievable To this day- I call my dtr veri..because of the varicose veins.
Was it a pain that was there? I know I had it and freaked out the first time it happened. It was worse when I moved. I called the doctor and was told it is round ligament pains since one end is loceted there. I have had them once in a while since then. I also know the pains stopped when I hit my second trimester and are starting back up now. Good luck.

YES!!!! Mine started last week and the pain comes and goes usually in the evenings. I was freaked out at first so I called my OB and he had me come in to get checked. They wanted to be sure I wasn't contracting or had a bladder infection. Well, everything is fine, all tests came back good and baby's heart beat is great 2. He told me that he beleives it's pain due to stretching of the ligaments and your pelvic/hip bones shift during growing periods in your pregnancy to accomodate a growing baby and uterus. The sharp pains can be alarming at first but now I realize that I'm just stretching out. Is this your first pregnancy?
OMG !!! I totally have this !!! I never had it with my first pregnancy. So, I thought something was very wrong. The Dr. said it's just pressure, but I thought what pressure? The baby weighs like 10 oz. ! I completely expected low abd & pelvic pain from the stretching, but my labia, perineum, & cervix ache. I feel like I need to hold them up for support because they throb, but you can't go around holding your girl parts, LOL. Anyway, I started wearing maternity Spanx for support & it has helped so much. I couldn't get any of those support belts to fit right. The Spanx not only supports, but it magically turns my jiggly belly into a beautiful baby bump : )
