First OB tomorrow

Well, tomorrow at 2:30 I am scheduled to meet with my OB for my first initial appointment since my BFP! I have to admit I'm anxious, nervous and somehow down right scared. I've been in a dream world since last week and getting all of the 7 (Yes- I know...I'm a little persistenet but so very pesimistic about this subject when it comes to me and my history) BFP results!

I think the scared part is my overwhelming anxiety of someone telling me I'm dreaming or this isn't happening. I've had some pregnancy symptoms, but not many. I'm not sick in any ways...except at night when I eat. I have lower abdominal like cramping, but no spotting or bleeding. I'm definitely tired ALL the time! And the GAS- OMG I do't think I can say anything more about that than WOW!

I got my proof of pregnancy to have me put on Medicaid last Wednesday and they also put my on prenatal vitamins. I've also quit smoking (today is day 6) and I've changed up my eating habits to more healthier ones again.

I guess I'm just a nervous wreck and shouldn't be, but this is definitely an experience so far! Hope everyone is doing well in their pregnancies and hopefully tomorrow I come back with a very happy post to follow my first appointment!

Hugs

Grats on quitting smoking!!! That's awesome.

Goodluck at your first OB visit! Be sure to update us all with the good news. Do you know if they'll do a dating ultrasound? Some OB's do it, some wait till 12 weeks.

Thank you thank you!! :) It's definitely been a struggle to quit. I'm hoping that they do an ultrasound because of the discrepencies in my due date. They are way off and I'm sure of it, but with PCOS I know how hard it can be and I'm hoping that an US can give a better estiamte of a correct due date.

I'll be sure to update tomorrow!!

Congrats on quitting smoking...I am still smoking but not as much as I was..Im slowly cutting it out. I am nervous also about my first appt. Mine is thursday of this week. And I am hoping they do an ultrasound so I can believe that I really am pregnant myself...I feel ya on what you mean that you are having a hard time believing you are pregnant. I know I am cause I am so darn sick everyday with morning sickness. I was not ever sick before so something has def changed about my body. Wish you luck and let us know if they did give you and Ultrasound or not. I am not sure if my Ob will or not.

Thank you also! The quitting has been hard...especially with my 3 stepdaughters (10, 9 and 7) and not to mention my best friend's little girl has been staying with us since july 7th and will until sept  and she's 2. My best friend's husband just left her and she re-enlisted in the Army and I'm her family care plan....she's giving me much wanted and enjoyed practice tho. It's trying at times especially when my hubby lights up around me, but he's getting better. Good luck on your smoking decline...that was basically what i did...smoked about 5 for 3 or 4 days and said enough is enough. I'm so scared of high blood pressure though, so I'm trying to be extra careful.

I wish I even had an estimate of when I was due lol! I'm praying they do an US to find out the due date. That's the only really acurate way they can someone has told me. My periods are so irregular and I think if I was 4 and a half months pregnant I would definitely know it! However, I'm holding hope to being anywhere from 6-10 weeks because of my negative test in june, but I know that could have also been a false negative, but I'll hopefully know more tomorrow.

I've got my WIC appointment tomorrow morning and then OB in the afternoon...it's going to be a long day, but as soon as I hear something I will be sure to update!

Thanks
Kerri :)

First off, congrats on quitting smoking! I've never smoked, so I can't even begin to imagine how hard it would be.

I had my first appt at 7 weeks. My doc did a US to get my due date. Although I new pretty much when the due date should be.

I had what felt like period cramps in the beginning too. My biggest complaint was sore boobs. I wasn't very sick otherwise. Just some dizziness and VERY tired!! Be glad if you're feeling relatively good. Some of these women get so sick. I feel so sorry for them!

Good luck today!

Thanks so much Kina! I will have to admit I've also had the nipple tenderness and they're constantly hard...that was in fact the first sign that my husband said he knew I was pregnant. About 2 weeks after that went away slightly, but then I also had the dizziness and am pretty lightheaded if I stand up too fast!

I definitely feel for some of the women who have the horrible sickness part of it. Hopefully once I get the conformation tomorrow I can step fretting a little bit! LOL

Thanks so much
Kerri
