Hi everyone!

This has been asked before, but my mother, sister and my sisters gf are hosting a baby shower for me on August 1.  As most of you know, funds are super low.  I want to do something for them as a thank you, but I have no idea.

Anyone have any thrifty ideas to say Thank You?

Thanks!

-Teacup/ coffee cup with a box of herbal tea/ coffee

-Collage of special photos or a nice picture frame (places like Hobby Lobby and Michaels almost always run 50% frame sales)

-Craft supplies (if they knit, crochet, scrapbook, etc, again crafting stores almost always run 50% off sales for this sort of stuff)

-Fancy chocolate bars tied with a pretty ribbon (they usually run a couple dollars per bar, WholeFoods, Target and even Wal-mart have started carrying "fancy" chocolate bars)

I bought each one a cosmetic bag with their initial and a package of notecards with their initial on the front. I bought these white giftbags that were 2/$1.00 at the dollar store. I bought pastel tissue paper and they all looked cute with the different colors of pastel tissue paper. I also gave a handwritten thank you to each one with their gift.

You could make them bracelets with matching earrings or a necklace! I did this for my bridesmaids and they loved it! You could go to a craft store and buy a couple packages of pretty seed beads and a couple bigger beads or charms. An initial charm, or using their favorite colors would be really cute! You could make several for less than $5 if you chose wisely and shop the sales!

I had another idea! hehe
For the groomsmen at our wedding, we bought bottles of wine on sale for $6 each, and put them in wine gift bags from the dollar store. Then we poured a handful of small, individually wrapped chocolates from Ghiradeli in each bag! With some colorful tissue paper, each one was still less than $10 each!

The Dollar Store/99-Cent Store often has beautiful potted plants (that would cost around $8-10 at a garden center).  You could tie a bow around the pot and give each lady a heartfelt thank-you note.  Sometimes all people want is to be acknowledged and thanked, so they know their hard work is appreciated.

I gave my hostesses a soap/hand sanitizer set from Bath and Body Works.  They were small, and it didn't cost that much.  I put them in little bags and tied them with ribbon.  They seemed to like it.
