ventral hernia and pregnancy
hi everyone,
i just have a question for all you loverly ladies. has anyone gotten pregnant with a ventral (incisional) hernia, and if so how'd the pregnacy go?
how big was your hernia?
did it make a difference to how u gave birth?
and any other things i might have forgotten to ask about
.

Hi, I'm just lurking (eek sounds creepy!) But with my youngest I had a Ventral Hernia. I didn't know it at the time I became pregnant and actually for most of the Pregnancy we thought the baby was poking out! (he was breech) But later I did fin out is was a hernia. It looked funny looking down like a growth or something. Not noticeable to anyone else. Although a few people who felt the need to rub my tummy (EEERRRR) felt it and was like OH THERE HE IS!
It was sore as he got larger (7+ months) But not Painful. It didn't affect labor at all. Although I did end up having it repaired 5 months after delivery. My pregnancy made it larger. Pre pregnancy it was the size of a tennis ball, by the time I had it repaired it was the size of a softball or your fist balled up.
