3rd times's a charm?? Couple of questions??

I had my third IUI today, the first in almost a year....I am hoping that this will do the trick.  My body has now been pregnant once, so it should know what to do!  The doc said that the counts were good.  I only had one good follicle this month, but it only takes one right? 

My question is this...my doctor said that once I get pregnant again that he wants me taking progesterone and a baby asprin.  Do you know when I can start the baby asprin?  When is it safe to test?  I did the hcg trigger yesturday.  Should I get a bfp this month I want to start the progesterone asap.  When can I get a true result without the danger of detecting the trigger in my system?  Thanks for you help ladies, cross your fingers for me!!!

Good luck!   I've never had an IUI, but it seems like I remember reading that you have to wait 10 days to test to make sure the trigger is gone.

Triggers are a bit of a ***** For most they would be out by day 10. But I sit here today 10 days past trigger and I still have a line. Faint, but there. For most people, it is more like 12 or 13 days until you can believe it. Unless, of course, you test daily and see it get darker at 9, 10, 11 dpo.

You can start your baby aspirin any time and in fact, it promotes circulation and could help implantation. Progesterone, also...won't hurt anything if you start taking it at like 3 DPO (when most REs tell you to start). It can, however, delay your AF if you are not pregnant.

My doctor has me take progesterone and aspirin everyday starting from day 2 post IUI. My RE does the blood test 14 days post IUI. Then, if negative stop progesterone and bring on period.

I was supposed to wait 10 days post IUI to test, but I tested @ 7 days & got a BFP. Then, of course, I didn't know if it was real or not. So, I had one of the Dr.'s that I work with order blood work & it showed a real positive. I should've just waited til day 10 LOL. Sending positive pregnancy thoughts your way : )

Thanks for all your responses!  I will wait until 11 or 12 days post IUI to test.  I guess that I will begin the baby asprin tomorrow.  I will keep you posted!  Thanks guys!
