I've got the daycare blues...with a pic

I took Ruby to daycare for the first time today.  I can honestly say it was one of the hardest things I have ever done. 

I was working in the office two days a week while my husband stayed home with her and telecommuting the rest of the week.  I just couldn't make it work.  I was not getting anything done.  My bosses have been awesome and would let me keep working from home but I just don't feel effective and I have to keep excelling at my job so I can keep it.  I was ending up working at midnight while the baby was sleeping just to get things done.

I feel like such a slug that I couldn't make that work but I was so miserable.  The good news is, she's only going to daycare 2 days a week.  My husband is off Sunday-Tuesday and I'll be off Friday-Sunday so she'll only need to go Wednesday and Thursday.  That sure didn't make it any easier to leave her there today, though.

Anyway, here's a pic from a couple weekends ago.  A friend bought Ruby some goodies at Disneyland.  I think her hat is a little big still...

Cute outfit by the way! Annie has the same one and it's my husbands favorite! lol!

I so know how you feel. And then everyone wants to tell you that it will get easier, um ... not really what you want to hear. However, I am so glad it's only twice a week! That's great! I hope it works out ok, and adorable picture, too! 

jayson has been with a sitter since he was 7 weeks old... it never got easier... but my peace of mind was that he loved her and she loved him... now they are both with their aunt.. i still hate it.. i think this is the one reason i was on midnights for 6 months.. so i coul stay home with them
