Lydia is One (picture heavy)
.. .Well, she will be one in just eight days! I can't believe it! This year has been full of so many trials and learning experiences, and I am so blessed and gratefull for ALL of it!
Top ten lessons and issues this year:
1. Get out of the house each and every day, even if its just to walk to the corner.
2. Surrender when you need to, and ask for help. Asking for help is not weakness, it is survival.
3. There is more to planning meals than heat and a timer. Plan in advance; otherwise carbs abound.
4. Learn to belly laugh. Daily.
5. Know when to hold 'em, and know when to fold 'em. The laundry will wait, childhood will not.
6. Boogers, messy diapers, and toots are hilarious.
7. No matter how long my day is or how tired I am, there should ALWAYS be time to crazy dance.
8. Sleep and modesty are highly over rated.
9. My husband is NOT a moron (contrary to previous rants). He tries his best, and I love him.
10. Don't worry if its the worst day ever because the baby won't eat, sleep, drink, or poop. Tomorrow will be different, and you can count on at least two of those things happening at the same time.
Lydia is 24 lbs now, walking and running like she's on fire, and she is hilarious. She still has just two teeth, but at least she has more than twelve hairs ... there's almost enough to get a bow in that hot mess o' red! She can say five words (and honestly, I think I am the only one who understands them), and she is starting to use her signs - she can say all done, and food (no surprise there, what more does a girl need, really?). She LOVES to be outside, but hates sand in her toes. She is, in a word, amazing. I adore her.

Wait..... the little Pirate Baby is already one??!! Where did the time go! Seems like it was just yesterday - I didn't realize she was so close to Bella's age. Then again - seems like Bella was just born yesterday too! :) Happy Birthday Lydia! You are one beautiful little girl!
