He said the dr in Egypt is an idiot. I had sent him a list of questions and the dr wouldn't answer any of them. Basically, in Egypt, aparently they think they're the dr, you're the patient...and as the patient you don't ask questions, you just do what they tell you...and asking questions is an insult to them because you're too stupid to understand anyways.
He said the dr told him to just bring me down and we'd do the IVF...and when DH kept asking when to bring me...the dr just kept saying 'any time!' uuntil DH yelled at him and said that he needed to know when in my CYCLE to bring me. The dr finally told him on CD 20. The only other question the dr there answered was re the genetic testing. He said that they won't do that because of my age (?? isn't my AGE the reason for doing it?!) because they're afraid that doing the genetic testing will 'mess up' the embryo (ie will take a good one and remove important parts to do the genetic testing). Idiots.
DH is disgusted enough with the dr there (who's supposed to be one of the better ones) that he's more willing to doing it here. I told him I'd find a clinic here - we've talked to one, but will check out others - and see what we can do.
I'm glad you enjoyed your time w/your husband's family. How far into Mexico do they live? Are you teaching the kids Spanish and English so they can talk to their family in Mexico? My son speaks Arabic very well (not fluent, but very well) and is also pretty good in French, which he's been taking in school for almost 8 years. When they're little like your kids are, they'll pick the language up like little sponges....and they can keep them straight if there are multiple languages.
