To show or not
So, my question is this... how can I show with this much skin? When I lay on my back the skin moves up and to the sides you can see the bump, but other then that... nothing. So, will I start to show? Or won't I show at all?? I asked my OB who has several WLS patients and all he could say was "its going to be different." So... any thoughts on this ??
Thanks in advance...

An Angel in the book of life wrote down my baby's birth, then whispered as she closed the book "Too Beautiful For Earth" -- Love you sweet boy...
I too am almost 2 years post-op and have not done anything about the excess skin.. With respect to showing, I didn't have a bump to speak of until I hit about 6 and a half months and all of a sudden there was a small bump that only showed when I was flat on my back. I wore size 8 and 10 dress pants to wor****il I was almost 7.5 months along and then POP I had a belly and needed the extra comfort of pants and skirts with panels..
As much as I was worried about looking fat rather than pregnant, there was never any doubt in mine or anyone else's mind that I was and am pregnant.. The other day I went to a water park and was wearing a 2 piece maternity bathing suit a friend gave me and this little girl in the kiddie section came to ask when the baby was due and what not.. I thought it was cute.. she said she liked my big round belly.. it brought a tear to my eye...
Even at almost 41 weeks, I've been told I look smaller than I am - most people don't believe I'm actually overdue! No doubt you'll start to show at some point - we all wear it differently though so you may end up carrying high, carrying low, carrying wide, all in the front - who knows.. the important thing is that you feel good about it and know that no matter what, you're beautiful!
Can't wait to see some belly pics when you finally pop!

I'm not sure how much you lost before becoming pregnant, but I had lost 100 pounds after my RNY (that was my goal) and have extra skin/fat "hanging around" too. LOL Until the last few weeks I could only see my baby bump when I pulled up my tummy skin from the belly button area. Now (23 weeks) when I look down, I see a definate bulge there. But from my profile, it's not a pretty baby bump most women have. It looks like a have a bump with a indented line going through it around my waist line. Kind of depressing. I look fat instead of pregnant. UGH!! I just keep hoping my belly will round out towards the front - soon!!
Sorry...no uplifting words here. Misery loves company...LOL
Best wishes,
