I just found out....
I took LOTS of tests! I went to the Dollar store and bought them out...LOL, not really, but I did take several. I agree that a positive is a positive is a positive. I don't think you need to do a digital test, but if you have the $$$ to spend on it and it will make you feel better, then go for it. I wish you the best of luck on this journey & CONGRATULATIONS!

Mommy to 2 of the most beauiful little girls in the whole universe and still in love with my hubby of 8 years. LIFE IS GOOD!
As far as the vitamins go, I was told to simply stay on the same formula BUT they added 400mg of folic acid, (before we conceived I was taking that amount tho). I asked the dr about the prenatals and he said "take 2 chewable flintstones and your good." So, that is what I do, (mine have iron in them.) Plus I take the calcium chews 2x daily, and B12, plus the D. So, I'm covered but that is what the OB said to take and stay on, he has several WLS patients and he knows what to look for as far as the levels go too... Which I found important, some OBs are blind about the WLS and we have to school them, it was a load off my mind to know he knew what he was talking about.
I only tested 1x... At the drs office in passing, it was after my d&c, I said "yeah, I'm like 5 days late." and they said I should test, but "don't worry, we use the dollar store ones to save money, if its needed we'll do the blood test for you." So, they tested and it was positive... I didn't question it because I knew something wasn't quite right, instead of my period I got one spot of pink for one day (implantation spotting) and that was it. So, I just knew something had to be up... :) Congrats to you though... I found out at 5 weeks and it feels like FOREVER ago LOL
take care and get some rest :) Don't lift anything heavy either :)

Congrats Kerri! Such happy news! Don't worry about the testing and re-testing - I wasted $$ on a Clear Blue digital even AFTER i'd had an ultrasound at 8 weeks to confirm viability, just because I STILL couldn't believe I was really pregnant! You'll get over it and the news will sink in... hehehe
Best wishes for a healthy and uncomplicated pregnancy. My only advice with respect to vitamins and nutrition is to continue taking your vits and eat as balanced as possible... and don't worry about the cravings - they're normal and they too will pass! Enjoy the "preggo ride" - it's a pretty awesome time!

Congratulations Kerri! Yes, I can confidently say most of us here are CPOAS'ers (compulsive pee on a stick'ers) - and it just is what it is. If you're 4-5 weeks then we are very close. I'm 5 weeks and a couple of days. EDD 2nd week of Mar. 2011.
Must be something in the water in Myrtle 'cause we were there about the time we conceived. LOL!
Take care of yourself and wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy.
