I just found out....
OMG! I'm 3 and a half years post op and after years of trying to get pregnant and a looming diagnosis of PCOS....I'm PREGNANT! I've gotten to POSITIVE pregnancy tests and have been experiencing a lot of symptoms already. If my figures are correct I'm somewhere in the 4-6 weeks category. I started on the South Beach Diet on May 24th. I was due to start my birth control pills after 3 months of no period (which is normal...I take bc every 3 months just to induce my period). I took a pregnancy test and it was negative. So, I started taking my pills. Well, my pills were done last Sunday and I went all week without even a symptom of AF. So, Monday I decided it was test time or something may be wrong. To my shock- it was POSITIVE! So I waited and took another test first thing in the morning Tuesday. Again- POSITIVE! I go next Wednesday for my first appointment.
2 questions...did anyone test and retest and retest again?? I've gotten the 2 positives and almost everyone has reassured me that 2 positives don't happen often. I'm going to buy another test this weekend...in fact a digital one...and see if I get another positive result. I'm trying to be excited, but I have this gloomy feeling like someone is going to yank the rug out from under me.
do any post ops have some good advice on vitamins and nutrition?? I'm doing a lot of research, but who better to ask then people who have been there like myself.
Thanks so much!!

Congrats!
I did quite a few test's lol
My first one was very very faint! I think I was the only one who could see it lol!
Even after my digital test I still did a dollar store one!
Mostly to ease my mind cuz I was spotting!
CONGRATS again!

CONGRATS Kerri!!!! I took the pregnancy test....count them 9 times before I believed it. If you do want to really, really confirm as I did...even after getting 9 positives I couldn't believe it so I ask the doc to call an order into the LAB for a serum/blood test and that confirmed it for me. If you have like a Patients First in your area they do them and will have the results in like 1 hour. Good luck and again CONGRATS!!!!!!!!

LOL - did anyone retest?!? I bet almost everyone did/does!! I bet I did about 6 dollar store tests - all of them were positive. I did them about every other day until I decided it must be true. It seemed like each positive line was a little darker than the one before it. The very first one (my period was only 2 days late at that time) was very faint, but there.
I think false negatives are pretty common, but false positives are rare. Just my thought...
Best wishes - And Congratulations!!

Thank you all so much!! And well, I took my 3rd test...this one being a dollar store test...and it again was POSITIVE with a very bright and clear pink line...not to mention I did it at 11:30 in the morning, so it must be true...I just don't know when it will sink in that this is actually happening to me!!! I'm so super excited and just thank God for this chance!!Thank you all so much!!
I took the first one and then the second one but the next day went to docs for confirmation (I did IVF so I was going to the docs office almost daily) Congrats! Enjoy the ride!!!
