Okay!  So, there are actually TWO different Chinese Gender Charts!  One goes by your age at conception and the month in which you conceived.  The other asks for your actual lunar birthday, whether or not you are currently pregnant or trying to conceive, and the date you conceived.

I got two different results!  The first one says I'm having a girl, and the second one (which is supposedly more accurate) says I'm having a boy.  LOL

Mandy,

What a dilemma, it's like what folklore do I believe..lol..So I'll use my Lunar age and see what that says..I'm hoping for a girl on both chinese charts. Thanks for that info

Thanks for telling me that Jackie, cause that gives me hope that perhaps I'll get my little girl that I so desperately want :) ...but if not I think I can deal with two boys ...I think ;)

Thanks ladies, it's great to know that I'm not the only one who's tried these charts..LOL..It's so funny because the rational side of me says "no way no how" it can't be true and how would an ancient old chart know....The wishful side of me is saying "Oh this thing has got to be right"...cause it says girl and I want a girl sooooooooooooooooooo bad...So I hope my post in a few months will say "Attention Kmart Shoppers I am having a Girl and the Chinese Chart was right"...LOL..

It was right for me...I had a little girl and I wanted a girl! Girls are great! Thank God for my daughter. Maybe I'll try and be proactive and strategically plan out when to conceive next time so I can have another girl. =)

I checked the Chinese birth chart before I knew we were having a boy (I was dying to know!!)  Anyways - it was wrong.

Most of the old wives tales were also wrong. I crave sweets, my linea nigra matches up to a girl, I don't notice any extra hair on my body, the baby's heart rate was over 140, etc. They all pretty much leaned towards a girl.

But...at my 20 week ultrasound, it definately showed boy parts. So if we're having a girl - she's got a little problem! LOL

All this stuff is fun, but unfortunately, not very accurate. Good luck...I hope you get what you want, but I know you'll be thrilled either way!!

Best wishes,
Kina
