Trouble getting pregnant??

I have read tons of wonderful success stories on this forum of pregnancies after WLS and all of you are so blessed!  I am just curious if anyone has had trouble or knows of someone having a hard time getting PG after WLS.  My doctor has told me losing 125 lbs has surely helped my fertility (if there ever was an issue) but then I've read that if your body is lacking nutrients from the malabsorbtion thing with WLS that the last thing it will do is try to make and sustain a successful pregnancy..... (I'm almost 4 yrs Post Op)

We have been trying for almost a year now, with a fertility specialist (only because we are doing IUI w/donor sperm) and each time my egg count was 2+ and the sperm count was outrageous....  I did get PG back in January only to miscarry at 7 wks....

I am curious if there's something I'm missing here about my nutrition that might help us achieve this little blessing....

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!

We did three IUI rounds and on the third round i was pregnant. I miscarried at 8.5 weeks. Then, took a month off. We tried a fourth IUI and it was unsuccessful. Then, I took a month off because I was traveling and we couldn't be sure of timing. I became pregnant on my own but it was ectopic.

I took the methotrexate and took about 47 days of bleeding etc to pass. On my next period, the doctor wanted me to have HSG to ensure tubes were clear then would start another round on my

Sorry hit send before finished.

Doctor was going to do another IUI round after the hsg but we got pregnant on our own. I am now 33 weeks.

I wrote all thus to say, yes it was a struggle but all what I had to do to get pregnant.

I have been trying for nearly 4 years now with no luck. However, I do not believe it to be WLS related at all, even though we are unexplained. I have seen women repeatedly get pregnant on here -- some only weeks out from surgery. If there was a nutritional issue, my hunch is it would be with those early out.

Sometimes there are just things that are not known and you just keep plodding on, though every day of it absolutely sucks.

Have you had your labs tested recently for vitamin levels? Note, a full set of labs can be like 15 viles of blood or more. If you are deficiant in something, at least you will know and will be able to correct it.. May help you concieve and have a successful pregnancy. Good luck!!
