Found out 3 weeks ago that I am pregnant!!
I just found out 3 weeks ago that I am pregnant. Right now they say I am about 6 weeks along. I just past my year anniversary from my surgery June 17th of 2009. I was not expecting this as it came as a surprise. However, me and husband did not use protection at all because I cannot take birth control pills cause it raises my blood pressure no matter what. And my husband is allergic to condoms. Nice right. We did great for an entire year keeping track of my cycle and making sure we did not have sex on the days I would be ovulating. I am amazed to say that this method worked for an entire year and then wow I end up pregnant by surprise. We are both excited!! Since this will be me and my husband first child ever!! I am 30 years old and he is 36 years old and right now is the best time. I have lost 143lbs in the one year and I just had 20lbs to go to my goal. Which is not bad and I am happy with that. However now I am nervous because this is my not my first pregnancy had miscarriages in the past before surgery. I am having faith that things will work out though. I am high risk already instantly when I had blood work done..I am on high blood pressure pills already and thyroid pills because my thyroid is overactive. I knew that was going to happen with the blood pressure pills regardless of if i was overweight or not with my pregnancy. The reason is because my hormone levels are up now being pregnant and that raises my blood pressure that is why I could not take birth control pills either due to the extra hormones. I am happy though that I found out at 3 weeks along and got things under control with being on top of things already. still in shock have another Appt July 29th.

Thank you so much!! I am goin to make sure my OB knows about everything. I have not met her yet but I did meet with the nurse there and had an assessment and blood work and that done. I meet her July 29th for the first time and get all the other stuff done for her first Appt. I am hoping they do an U/S at that visit. I should be about 9 weeks then. Not sure what they are going to do or not.
