Hi there,

well I don´t know what do do anymore. I had my RNY 2 years ago. I started at a weight of 346 lbs lost 180 lbs within 15 months before I got pregnant I was at 170 lbs and now I allready gained about 30lbs and that makes me so frustrated!
I don´t eat more than I did before I still exercise as good as I can!
The baby is doing great and having fun in my belly but I DON´T FEEL GOOD!!!!
I really don´t know what to do about not gaining that much weight exprecially because it is far too much.
Is there anybody out there who gaind also that much after his RNY-surgery????
I am really afraid that I am not going to be able to get rid of the pounds after the baby is "delivered".

I really talked to a lot of people and the most of them don´t even understand my problem! I feel unconfortable in my own body, I don´t want me to get bigger and bigger..no clothes fit anymore and I am really aggressive all the time!

Could somebody outthere help me somehow. I really don´t know what to do!!!

Thanks in advance!!

We are a lot of like lady. I had my RNY 2 years ago, I started at 355 and got down to 180 pounds when I found out I was pregnant. Also, I have already put on 20 pounds in 20 weeks. I am eating more, but I am still teachin Zumba fitness classes each week.

I think we are at a place right now that can be tough mentally. With me all my old clothes are too tight, and new maternity clothes are too big. It is like I am in between sizes. It is hard to feel good about yourself if you feel like you don't look good. You need to find ways to make yourself feel good!!!!

This weekend (for me) I plan on taking sometime for myself--dye my hair, wax my face, and hopefully get a pedicure.

As far as being pregnant, I like it. But at the same time, I haven't felt my baby move yet. So I know he is in there and we are sharing my body--but right now he is a very quiet guest.

Prepare yourself that you still have some weight gain that will occur in what's left of your 2nd trimester and 3rd trimester. My plan is to make sure I am eating as many whole foods as I can (protein, fruits, veggies...not empty foods chips, sweets, ect). Keep working out, even if it is just a 15 minute walk each night or morning.

As long as I am eating well and working out I am not going to fuss too much over the scale until after my little Jackson is born.

HANG IN THERE!!!! Remember our hormones are all over the place right now too.

I keep telling myself that it's all baby (even if it's not) and not stress too much about it. It's hard but it helps get your head in the right place.

Talk to your dr and your nutritionist about your worries.  See what your dr says...and have your nutritionist help you come up with a healthy eating plan - and see her regularly - for the duration of your pregnancy and for after the baby's here and when you're ready to lose the pregnancy weight.  Though I don't think you've gained an enourmous amount of weight...for your mental health, obviously the less you gain for the rest of the pregnancy the better...but make sure that the weight gain (or lack there of...not loss) is under the supervision and with the help of your dr and nut.

I know it's hard, but try to remind yourself that you're PREGNANT.  You're supposed to be gaining weight.  You are NOT just getting fatter and re-gaining all your weight.  Be as gentle on yourself as you likely are on your friends and family.
