Bleeding??

Ok, this is my third post op pregnancy, and this one is actually a surrogacy.  Luckily, as with my own two pregnancies, I got pregnant the first time. HCG draws have been great all three times. I have had a lot of cramping way past the implantation time, but my dr says it is totally fine.  I had an ultrasound last Friday and ever since then I have had brown blood, and sometimes pink, discharge.  This is enough to wear a panty liner and see on the first piece of tp each time I wipe, but not enough for a pad.  One panty liner is good enough for the whole day, in terms of how much is coming out.  That being said, it has been almost a week and it is still happeneing.  I hesitate to call the office because the dr is a jerk, and there is no red blood--sometimes a smidge of pink but mostly brown. Is this normal or not? Never had this with my other pregnancies. No history of miscariage.

I had the same thing happen to me this pregnancy!
Right in the beginning I had to wear a pantyliner!
I just though my period was off, and I was going to be getting it sooner!
Nope lol!!!
Found out I was pregnant. Had some spotting after that too but nothing big!
Never had this with my other two pregnancies!

Thanks....that makes me feel a little better. I was just worried because it is a little more than just a tiny bit, and since this never happened with my other two pregnancies I was worried.  I am only 31, so I am not high risk as far as age goes. Thanks!

I had the same happen and was told by my OB (two of them because we moved and had to find a new one) that its the blood that is left over from when you would have had your period and it will taper off... and it did. Though it lasted about a week, maybe 2. It still freaked me out BIGTIME. I mean we been TTC for 13 years and finally am now 13 weeks along, but still... and if I stand too long or walk to much, do to much or have sex I have the spotting a bit... So after a day of taking it easy its gone, but just keep tabs on it...

I was also told NO sex and NO lifting while this is happening either. It disrupts the whole thing. The no sex thing was hard, but I understand it as the semen contains postglandins that ripen the cervix and since it wasn't fully "matured" yet, it was a no-no...

My best to you and btw, if the dr is a jerk why not tell them you are looking for another one because of the attitude or just find a different one? you need to be able to speak freely with your dr.... and with this being your 3rd pregnancy you know that communication is key :)
