No matter what I sit on my butt will start to hurt after a while. Obviously the less cushioning the sooner it hurts. I was wondering if anyone else has this problem. It's mostly at my tail bone.

Oh yes! Sometimes I cry from the pain. Just keep shifting your position.

Ugh, I went though this too, I found that getting up and streching a bit would keep it away for a little bit, but nothing to really solve the problem.  Sorry, I can't be anymore help.

wait 'till after you have the baby... I actually sat on a bed pillow most of the time at the end of the pregnancy. I still can't sit too long on a hard surface. The car is the worst for some reason - I last about 1 hour before I get uncomfortable

I have been dying in pain because of this!! As I lost weight it got worse, then when I was pregnant, the pain actually went away. The 2nd day after I had the baby, while in the hospital, I started getting the horrible tailbone pain. I thought it had something to do with my spinal but I'm still getting it today. I can't sit in the same spot for more than 15 minutes of it hurts like a &%@$#. I seriously don't know what to do about it. I'm ready to see a doctor!!

Yep, the ass definitely hurts when I sit. For me my hps are the worst if I sit too long but the tailbone doesn't feel great either.

You know those neck pillows people get for traveling on the airplanes? Get a fat one of them - as fat as you can find it - and sit on that, putting your tail bone where the neck part is at...that way you've got cushion under your bum w/o anything pushing - or at least much less pushing - on your tail bone.  That's what I've had to resort to.  Mine hasn't been because of pregnancy but from weight loss...I still look like I have a fat ass...but there's a lot less of a fat ass there to cushion my poor tail bone.
