New Here - Lap Band and Pregnancy
Hi.
I am 23 weeks and have 2.5 ccs in a 4cc band. I was at that restriction for a long time (over a year, I think) and was thinking of getting a small (0.1cc) fill around the same time I was also planning to get pregnant, so I held off (well, actually, I went in for a fill and they couldn't find my port, but it was a blessing in disguise.) I had no morning sickness so that wasn't an issue. In the past few weeks I have noticed that I'm tighter again, so I'm glad I didn't get a fill. It's really variable, which I attribute to how hydrated I am (or how much fluid I'm retaining.)
I'm impressed that you have managed not to gain any weight - have you been eating 1200 calories through your whole pregnancy?

I am not 35 weeks pregnant. I had the normal morning sickness during the first trimester. When I called, the dr said that as long as I was feeling okay and the baby was gaining they wouldn't bother my bad. So they took nothing out. The second trimester, I seemed to do better. Now, eating can be a chore. In the morning is the worse. It just depends on the food the rest of the day as to if I can eat. I think it is because the baby is getting bigger and causing a restriction. We know she is growing just fine based on the ultrasounds. You may talk to your OB and they can give you some medicine for then nausea. Mine gave me Zofran and it helps. I have gained 13 lbs but then I lost 6 because of being sick and eating differently due to diabetes. The important thing is to keep yourself healthy and baby. The baby will get what he/she needs. He/She will take from you. Just keep the communication going between your surgeon and OB. Keep up the good work, not much longer.
Congrats!!!!
Congrats!!!!
I've had two lapband babies. I kept 2cc's in my 4cc band the entire pregnancy both times. Toward the end I had to eat very small frequent meals. For me as the baby was getting bigger I had less room in my pouch. Neither of my babies were huge though. Hannah was 6lbs 13oz and Noah was 7lbs 3oz.
Congrats!
