Surgery is set (Update)
Hey ladies it's has been a bit of time since I have been on here. I have just been overwhelmed lately. Stajah's dr. appt was last week at the Children's hospital and we are set for hernia surgery next Wednesday 14th. The dr. gave me more information about her lil situation. The hernia is in the Round Ligament (boy those words sound familiar), and it is her ovary popping through not her intestines (like in boys). He says it only occurs in about 1-2% of lil girls but no choice but to fix it. He gave me same advise if it pops (it has many times) it needs to go back in or to the ER. Thankfully, Tylenol has calmed her down enough when it happens to get it back in. We are having the dr. look at the other side, it's worth the extra 5-10 minutes. He says about 50% chance she has one over there as well. We are not doing this twice, so I told him do it. (Also, no more pain). I have been pretty cautious on letting her cry to hard, which means bedtime has been very very very rough. I went back to work last Monday, and I don't think I can get any less sleep. Stajah goes to bed at midnight and is up every 1 1/2 and on rare occasions is it longer. During the day she is a cat napper only 20-30 minutes at a time. She still only eating about 2 oz per feeding--which isn't helping any. Other than that, I would trade my sleepless nights for anything in the world. Well speaking of sleep, she is out, and I finished eating, so I am going to grab a nap...

Wow I have never heard of this kind of hernia! Im so glad you guys caught this early and that it is easily repaired. I dont blame you having the doc look/fix the other side! Why put her through this again if you can prevent it. Will this effect her in any way when she becomes and adult and wants to have a baby? Just curious. Any how stay tough. I cant believe you are keeping such a positive attitude while dealing with all of this PLUS working. You are one tough cookie!! :)
Super proud mommy to Dylan, Owen and Sophia Brianne!
I pray Stajah's surgery is quick and has no complications - 'cause even an hour's gonna feel like days to you while she's in there. God willing, she'll heal up and you'll never have to worry about any of this again. Hang in there...Hopefully once the surgeries done and she's healed...she'll sleep better and you can sleep too. Do you have family nearby that maybe your mom or sister or friend could spend the night and help out a little so you can get 3-4 hours consecutive sleep now and then?
