Just Curious
Hi all , Just wondering .I am having WLS this year. I am 31 and my husband and I are both going through the gastric bypass process. We dont have children yet and want some after our surgeries.Just curious ...Is it more common after wls to have twins ? I am excited and nervous about the whole thing.

I had twins post RNY- but I also had to use Clomid, just like with my first pregnancy which was before WLS. There are twins on here that happen naturally- it really isn't a higher incidence because of the surgery. There are a lot of factors that mesh, including heredity, etc. Good luck with your RNY.

Hi Jennifer,
I don't think twins are more common to gastric bypass patients.
I just wanted to tell you that my hubby & I both had RNY as well and it has been one of the best decisions we have ever made. I had mine in Oct. 08 (I was 27 at the time) and Josh had his last December. I found out right before Josh was having his surgery that I was pregnant. Are you going to do them close together?

HI Tina ,
Thats wonderful . It sounds like that you and your husband are doing great. My husband is having his probably this Sept. and me probably in Dec. due to insurance requirements of going 6 months faithfully to a dietician and such. But we do want kids when it is all said and done. Did you have your baby yet? Good luck with things!!
