Those of you that have had one or an ectopic pregnancy and were given methotrexate, did you have a reaction to it?????  I mean, I know it causes cramping and such to help progress the miscarriage, but what about nausea and vomitting??  I had to call dr yesterday because the cramping was soo bad and the tylenol of course wasn't working.  She put me on Lortab.  I have only used it when its gotten really bad.  Today I have been nauseated and vomitting and feel sick!!  I read this can be a side effect, anyone have it???

I wasn't vomiting, but I was sick for over a week after the injection.  I just felt horrible.  I do think that feeling bad after is not uncommon.

I am so sorry for your loss.  I hope you feel better soon!

The injection made me feel like crap for a week!! I ended up with a lymph node infection and the sores inside my mouth (a potential side effect)! I had a prescription mouthwash to clear it up and antibiotic for the lymph infection. I had horrible breakout around my chin, mouth, and lower nose and then this huge knot in my jaw chin.

Maybe the loratab could be making you sick?

Make sure you have a significant amount of food in before the pain medication.  Pain meds make me very, very sick without crackers or food.

Methotrexate is actually a chemotherapy, and it can cause nausea and vomiting as well as diarrhea, especially at higher doses.

Thanks everyone for your input!! I made sure I took my pain meds with food and the nausea/vomitting happened when I didn't have any pain meds in my system. I had to take yeasterday and today off of work, because of the nausea/vomitting and the cramping.  It helps to know that I am not the only one that feels like crap after the injection and you answerd my question for how long I could possibly feel this way for.  Trying to cope with the physical and emotional side effects of this!

Thank you, you all are wonderful women!
