TMI - burning "down below"

Okay, this is a little embarrassing, but nothing is out of bounds here, right?

Just recently I've noticed (hard not to) that after my husband and I have sex, I have this terrible burning "down there". It goes away after a while, but what the heck is going on?

We are both "clean" and no STD's or anything like that. I've had bladder infection in the past, nothing like that here.

I was trying to research this on the internet, and I think maybe it could be a semen allergy caused by pregnancy hormones. Anyone else had this problem? If so, what did you do to reduce the symptoms? (other than the obvious condems)

If you're a bit dry, simple irritation due to friction can cause this as well.

A few months ago I started having a burning sensation when I peed after sex.  It was only after sex though.  I brought it up with my OB and since I don't have an infection or anything he told me not to worry about it.  Just one of those things that happens.

(sigh) Just another "joy" of being pregnant sounds like.....could be a long time until November!! UGH!!

I'm always amused by those women who say "I just love being pregnant". Believe me, I haven't had even a fleeting thought like that. Good for them...

Men would never make it if they had to go through this kind of stuff!! LOL

The best thing about being pregnant is feeling the kid move. Other than that I HATE it!!!

As for the post...it may have something to do with the extra bloodflow, ive had the same issue and no infections were found. Dont know about u but i am very swollen in that region and the swelling only increases after sex =/

Honestly, I have NO desire for sex at all. My poor husband. It is THE last thing in the world I want. It's so uncomfy to me. I don't get the burning...but I do get some bad BH contractions. So we are just not having sex LOL!

It very well could be a yeast infection too. They have at home tests for it or you could have your doctor check you.
