how long did u wait post op to make babies?!

It's just common to miscarry period.   WLS doesn't increase your chance of having a miscarriage.  

Both of my babies are post op.  I've been pregnant twice and I have two babies.   I was very lucky to never have to experience a loss.

Oh and I waited almost 2 years post op before trying to get pregnant.

My doc recommends AT THE VERY LEAST 1 year to wait to get pregnant. I got pregnant 7 months post op (sort of by accident) and had a miscarriage. I conceived the little girl I am carrying now a little more than a year post op. My weight stabalized really early though. I think that's what they want, for your weight to be stable for several months before you get pregnant. Also, you'll need to be able to eat a decent amount of food when you get preggers (including 100 grams of carbs per day) so it takes some time to get to the point that you're able to do that.

I know it's super hard to wait. I had my RNY mostly because I wanted to be able to have children and it was hard to wait, but it is better for the little one if we wait.

There are two main reasons to wait 1) If you get pregnant within teh first 18-24 months you lose prime honeymoon period weight loss time. Most of us lose the majority of our weight within the first 18 months and you shouldn't be  losing for teh health of the baby. 2) You're still malabsorbing in the first couple of years so your body is not getting all of its nutrients from teh food hence the reason for the regime of vitamins.

I was 1 month shy of 2 years before  I got pregnant. My fertility was one of the major reasons I had WLS but then wanted to enjoy my "new body" before I added a baby.

Almost 2 years - I was about 20 months out when I got preggo with my 1st!
