Update on me and pic of Belly Cast

Well, I'm in the home stretch now for sure!  Maternity leave officially began last Friday at lunch time and I couldn't be happier!  As much as I stressed about leaving work and my precious blackberry behind, I actually feel RELIEF when I think about how I don't need to call in for any or whatever reason!

I've been on antibiotics for the last couple of days to clear up a nasty ear infection and that is also almost over - at least I should be 100% by the time baby decides to make his appearance!  Healthwise I've been feeling great, other than my feet swelling like crazy.. Hubby has complained that I snore loudly but hey, what can you do - baking a human takes a lot of time and energy and my body needs to recoup LOL

Since being on Mat leave I had a belly cast done (pic included) and have booked a mama belly photoshoot - I'm excited! I look like crap - was a hot day and was just coming out of the shower after scrubbing off the plaster residue.. Belly cast is still wet and unfinished but I still loved the way it looked... Will post a pic of the final product when I pick it up..


Saw the OB yesterday and he casually mentionned he was on call Friday... he won't be working on or around my EDD as he'll be on vacation... he also mentioned walks and hot and sour soup LOL so I'm beginning to wonder if that wasn't a veiled invitation to have my membranes stripped or be induced.. I dunno but I think I would just rather let nature take its course.. My sister says this baby is in NO rush to come out because I don't look or feel like a house and he's obviously comfy - she called me a COZY NEST!!!

Anywho, I hope you are all doing well... Will update when I go into labour or deliver the wee man!

awwww countdown like me! i went in yesterday and the doc striped my membranes... (that sounds so bad). anyway, it did jumpstart things but i went to bed last night and woke up this morning not feeling a thing. i know you are anxious like me but i guess we should just be happy our babies are considered full term now. my doctor is going out of town in one week so i am hoping my baby comes before he leaves...

good luck and congrats! my official due date is July 7th... in one week.

That's so exciting. I can't wait for my maternity leave to start. A little less than 2 weeks and I'll be out. I am proud of you for leaving your blackberry at work. Many people would have kept it.

BTW, your pic didn't show up in your post. I'm bummed cuz I really want to see the belly cast. I've never seen one before.
